On Saturday, the Southern Theater Command of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) organized troop forces to conduct combat readiness patrols in the territorial waters and airspace around China's Huangyan Dao and nearby areas, the command said in a statement via its WeChat account.

Since May, the command has continued to strengthen patrol and alert operations around the territorial waters and airspace of Huangyan Dao, further strengthening management and control over the area, resolutely safeguarding national sovereignty and security, and firmly maintaining peace and stability in the South China Sea.

On the same day, the China Coast Guard (CCG) conducted law enforcement patrols in the territorial waters and surrounding areas of Huangyan Dao, the CCG said in a statement via its WeChat account. 

Since May, the CCG has continuously strengthened law enforcement patrols in the territorial waters and surrounding areas of Huangyan Dao, carrying out tracking and monitoring, issuing verbal warnings, and intercepting and driving away vessels in accordance with the law and regulations. This further enhances the control over the relevant maritime areas and firmly safeguards national territorial sovereignty and maritime rights and interests.
